Just a little nitrous info for ya.

Ever heard the term "nos"? Of course you have. NOS actually stands for Nitrous Oxide System, it also is a brand name for the biggest name in nitrous systems and supplies.

Nitrous Oxide is a colorless and non-flamable gas. That's right it's non-flamable.

So how does nitrous work in your engine? Pretty simple really. After being introduced into your engine intake system a small explosion happens when the nitrous, fuel and spark (from your spark plug) intertwine. The nitrous breaks down into oxygen and nitrogen. The oxygen is burned creating the extra power and the nitrogen cools the charge.

There are several ways to introduce nitrous into your engine. Dry Injection kits, Wet injection kits and for the hard-core Direct Port Nitrous Injection Kits. Both Carburated cars and Electronically Fueled (EFI) cars can benefit from the use of a Nitrous Oxide System.
